HOUSTON, TEXAS (April 25, 2024) – Statesman Business Advisors, LLC (“Statesman”) is pleased to announce that Barry A. Kelly has joined its Investment Banking team in a Senior Advisor role. Barry has had an exceptional 40-year career in commercial banking in the Texas market and brings to Statesman a wealth of transactional knowledge, middle-market relationships, and top-notch leadership and managerial skills. Barry will be working in concert with the Statesman team as a trusted colleague and will be a valuable resource in the firm’s continued growth. Over the past 25 years, as a leading middle market investment bank specializing in mergers and acquisitions, capital sourcing, and strategic advisory services, Statesman’s Investment Banking team has successfully represented hundreds of middle-market business owners operating in a wide range of diverse industries throughout Texas, the U.S., and internationally.

GBarry began his banking career completing the Commercial Officer Development Program at Texas Commerce Bank. He has been a Commercial/Corporate banker in Houston since 1983. Most recently, Barry spent the past 12 years as Executive Vice President and Manager of Texas Commercial Banking at Cadence Bank. He served on the Board of Directors at YES Prep public schools for 18 years and remains a member of the Finance Committee. Barry also serves on the Advisory Boards of Carespring and Cadence Bank. Barry graduated from Mississippi State University in 1983 with a BA in Business Administration and Accounting. He is married with three children and four grandchildren. We are tremendously excited about the addition of Barry to our Investment Banking team and the continuation of a long-standing business relationship.
