Statesman Awarded Industrial, Power & Infrastructure Deal of the Year by ACG Houston

HOUSTON, TEXAS (May 4, 2020) – The Houston Chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth (“ACG”) announced Statesman Corporate Finance, LLC (“Statesman”) as the winner of the Deal of the Year in the Third Annual ACG Deal of the Year Awards via an online video ceremony delivered Tuesday, April 28th. Statesman’s advisory in the sale of Plantgistix to A&R Logistics won in the Industrial, Power & Infrastructure Category.

This transaction positioned the combined Plantgistix / A&R operation as North America’s most significant provider of outsourced warehousing, packaging and export services dedicated to the plastic resin industry.  With the addition of Plantgistix, A&R will stand as the industry’s only logistics provider offering complete export solutions out of Houston, Charleston and Savannah.  “We were thrilled to be named the winner in the Industrial Category”, said Will Jaco, Managing Partner of Statesman and transaction lead on this engagement.  “Many others were very instrumental in getting this deal across the finish line including Wind Point Partners, the sponsor behind A&R, Kirkland & Ellis, the buyer’s counsel, and Foley & Lardner, the seller’s counsel.” Winners were chosen based upon the unique aspects of the transaction, challenges faced, results, economic and strategic impact, stakeholder value, professional expertise exhibited, and creativity.

In addition, Statesman was also nominated as a finalist in the Consumer Products & Services Category for the acquisition of Jurassic Quest by L2 Capital Partners.  Jurassic Quest is the World’s Largest, Traveling, True-To-Life Animatronic Dinosaur Experience targeted to kids of all ages.
